- I round richiedono premi

- I round iniziano a sembrare ripetitivi
Nello scenario attuale dello speed server, stiamo vedendo questi round in rotazione continua: Duck, Cheap, INSANE, Fuga, Community Speed e Due Fratelli. Last Man Standing, Blood and Bone, Fight speed, Fight speed special, Flash, Plus, Nobili Perfetti, High Performance, Round Noob, 24/48 ore ininterrote settings, Super cata, ecc.

i still do not trust google translate, english version:
As you guys know, the italian server is my favorite server even though i am not from here, but here I know that my voice will be heard.

I have seen that there are (in my opinion) a few problems on the rounds currently.
- The rounds have been very confusing in the times they have been scheduled
Some times there are rounds in the early morning, other times there are rounds only after lunch and at 20, i think the rounds should be planned on a more sistematic note to give all of the players a chance to play in the times they can.
In my opinion, a server becomes way better if there is an attempt to have a speed round always up, just like the czech or now the international server does. However, these servers often mess up the settings of the rounds and are unable to adapt to the different times of the day (for example, in the czech server the settings for the night rounds are pretty much the same as the normal daytime rounds, which makes absolutely no sense because at night less players will join, which makes there to be a need to adjust the settings, most importantly the number of barbarian villages per player).
But, by not having rounds permanently I also see some advantages, for example the fact that players who really want to play the round can only play at those specific times where there are rounds, making those rounds more competitive.

I propose that there would be AT LEAST 4-6 rounds per day, with start times varying between these hours:

08:00-12:00
12:00-16:00
16:00-20:00
20:00-00:00
00:00-04:00
04:00-08:00
With this i do not mean all of these times must necessarily be occupied, but i think there should be at least one round starting between all of those times - a 4 hour division of the day gives pretty much everyone a chance to be able to play a speed round.

Having addressed the unpreddictability of the rounds, I am going onto my next topic, that is
- The rounds are very, very long
Right, 3 hour rounds can't possibly be that long, correct? Well, they might not, but they might certainly feel very long for players who are on them.
Lets take for example two past rounds, #3985 Super Week: INSANE and #3972 Super Week: Cheap. As you can see by their leaderboards, the rounds seem like they were just easily won by a player / group of players which can happen and is totally legitimate. And there are a ton more rounds where you can see that happening on the player standings in the end. Sometimes, when you check the opponents defeated, they aren't even that high, proving that the round was basically just conquering barbarian villages for the players who won without actually having much competition.
This is what makes 3 hour rounds feel so long, so boring. I myself sometimes join some rounds and completely dominate them in less than 1 hour, and i am basically forced to keep playing until the end of the round 2-3 more hours when I could be doing something else or even better, another round could be open to give more chances to other players. Those last hours of the round really aren't enjoyable for anyone - the players on top are just wasting their time and the players who join the round feel like they have no chances of winning at all.
Solutions:
1) I suggest evaluating each round and seeing how long they usually take to be finished and trying to reduce the time that the rounds take overall. For example, Fuga normally never takes longer than 2 hours to be completely dominated, INSANE around 1 hour, if the round durations were adjusted to that it would be more enjoyable to all of the players on the round and a new round could come right after that one. Even if there wasn't a clear winner, it just tells the players who aren't as good that they have chances of winning as they ended the round in a good placement and not with 0 points.
2) Adding a winning condition to the rounds. I personally prefer the first option, but this one is a more stable way to reduce the round times, for example adding a number of villages that, if reached by the player in first place, makes it so the round just ends.
This is good in theory, but in reality you cannot possibly predict how many players will join the round and therefore how many barbarian villages there will be, so for example for the INSANE or Fuga rounds it would be very hard to come up with an exact number, you could say "first player to 50 villages wins and the round is over", but in some instances the round might not even had enough players for 50 villages to spawn on the map or the other way around, there could have been a lot more villages on the map and a player just conquered barbarian villages until his inevitable victory, which is also not very fun or competitive, and this is why i believe the first option is better, everyone knows when the round ends and even if the leaderboard is close the players will be giving their best to end in the best position possible.

Advantages of this are clear, less waste of time by the players, more competition while the rounds are taking place (while as nowadays the rounds might be competitive on their first hour but then they just become boring), more rounds can be played on the space of time people pay for premium on, and some more.

With this i am going to talk about my third topic, which is
- Rounds need prizes
For players like me who focus mainly on playing speed rounds, we don't care at all if the rounds have prizes or not, we have enough premium to buy premium account and farm assistant and we're happy with that, but the truth is that there are a lot of players that don't have those things and if they see those are being rewarded in speed rounds they will feel more inclined to join, and they will put in a bigger effort to try to win the round. This will overall make the rounds more competitive.
I'm not saying all of the rounds need to have a prize, but lets say the suggestion of having the time periods i mentioned above is put into place, 2 out of the 6 rounds could have a prize for example, I don't know, something to make players feel more invited to playing the rounds, the prize doesn't even need to be that huge.

Now onto my last, but not least significant topic
- The rounds are starting to feel repetitive
I have seen this happen in my own server and it really is not a pleasant feeling - you come home one day to play a speed round and then you just see it is exactly the same setting you played on 1 day ago, for example.
In the current scenario of the speed server, we are seeing these rounds in rotation continuously - Duck, Cheap, INSANE, Fuga, Community Speed and Due Fratelli. At least for the past few days(and next) it really feels like the italian server only has 6 models of speed, while the server has so many more good models for rounds, Attaco Barbaro, Maximum/Minimum Distance, Play For Farm, Guerra tra Vicini, Nobili Scontanti, Last Man Standing, Blood and Bone, Fight speed, Fight speed special, Flash, Plus, Nobili Perfetti, High Performance, Round Noob, 24/48 ore ininterrote settings, Super cata, etc. The server has so many awesome models (and could have more, I am willing to suggest a lot more models) and it still feels like the current rounds are just played all the time. I'm not saying they are bad, the rounds are very fun (except for Due Fratelli, what a terrible round xD), but the fact that they are played over and over again makes them less attractive to players because there simply isn't new strategy to be thought about and therefore not many more new things to be learnt. I believe a rotation of all of the possible settings is the best way possible to handle a server, of course some rounds to be made more than others (please make Duck round more than Due Fratelli, for example xD)

That is all i have for today, thank you for reading through all of this, I really want this server to prosper and become one of the most (if not the most) played server for speed players, and I really believe that if all these things were implemented, at least slowly, would boost the server in a good way.

Wow, these future planned rounds are awesome! I just don't like the fact that there are 24h rounds but besides that i'd say its perfect xD good job guys!

Aspettiamo volentieri altri consigli!

Nice! I am happy you guys are making changes, now we just have to wait for the players to acknowledge them and give speeds more attention :p
I don't know if it's also in the plans, but in that thread i commented about making a different part for the speed forum where people could drop speed models that could maybe be implemented into the game, I have a ton more models that could be created to give more variety to the server :p

One quick thing - The "Due Fratelli" round is very obnoxious in the state it is. I would turn it into a bash round, upping the speed from 300 to 370 and adding a farm limit of 50 units, I think that would make the round way more attractive than it is now. (we already have the catapults round with the same idea of the due fratelli anyway)
Some other thing, I like the 30 minute Prova Il tuo start since it is very good for people to practise and learn how to sprint, but normally those rounds would be better if they are a bit longer (45-60 min, to let people develop and have time to fight), as they are now they are more of a sprint fight which is not a bad idea at all, i think both models could coexist, sometimes the 30min round and then a bit longer sometimes just to let fights happen

I also have to mention something (classic me thing) the rounds Nobili Scontati and Nobili a dado have wayy too many players per tribe. You should reduce it to like 1-3 members per tribe (it can be changed if a lot of players start joining the rounds obviously). The Guerra tra vicini round has 5 members per tribe but i honestly don't know if i wanna make it less members because of the travel limit on the nobles... We'll see how the rounds planned play out.

Also please all of the rounds that have night mode remove it.. Like in the current Blood and Bone 2h30 round theres someone on night mode.......
All of those sort of beginner protections should be removed, moral, % protection, etc, if the rounds are going to be shorter it makes no sense that these things exist

This is what i meant about 24h rounds (print taken now, 5 hours in)

If 3 hour rounds didnt last 3 hours, 24 hour rounds are clearly not going to either xD

You should probably consider sending another global message to all of the worlds telling people that now speeds are more organised, you can find the settings very easily and they are fun to play, and link the future rounds link and the italian discord to try to boost the amount of active players even more :p

Try to have a consistent time at which a Duck round happens or a n1 or something of that sort. Players are getting used to playing n1's here, just check current round
1651785328110.png

It's becoming active and competitive pretty fast. Try to have like 1 duck round per night maybe, like that these players keep coming back and get used to having this round happen here

Need to change the number of villages required for account manager to 2 in all of the rounds.
The argument for this is that someone can simply get to the 5 villages and buy account manager for 30 days and have it even with 1 village. If the number of villages required is 2 (i don't know if you can make it possible to buy account manager with just 1 village) then it is way easier for players who don't already have the account manager activated to catch up and to still have it.

Need to put the invitelink to the italian discord server in the description of the rounds as well (as i assume you probably wouldn't even be allowed to put the international speed discord server as it is not owned by innogames), and work on the small description of the settings in italian / english for each round as well to make things more organised.
