This topic makes it easier for me to explain people what modalità vacanza is so here it goes:
- Modalità vacanza is a setting and can be found in the settings (looks like the image below)
- The idea behind this mode is to give people a chance to rest and sleep.
- If you activate this mode, any attack you receive will come as a visit, so in practice you can't be attacked.
- However, in this mode, nothing happens - you can't access your account, your account does not produce resources, everything goes into a "frozen" state where nothing happens
How does this mode work?
- There is a time between you announcing you will activate the night mode and the time you actually are able to activate the night mode on. On the print above, that can be seen in the "minimo tempo utile all'attivazione", which means i could only activate the modalità vacanza after that time. This time is a fixed value on the settings, it's known as "delay" and it can be literally any value but normally it'll never be shorter than 20 minutes, this exists so that people can't just run away from OP's by activating this and immediately becoming untargetable.
- There is a minimum and a maximum time of which you can activate the mode, it can be for example 6-10, so you can choose the mode to start at a certain time and last between 6 hours and 10 hours, and that time you insert in "durata".
There is also a minimum and maximum awake, and this exists to ensure a fair game, because it ensures both that people have to go into modalità vacanza, and it also also ensures that you cannot simply spam activate it.
An important warning - if you don't activate the modalità vacanza yourself it will always activate when the maximum awake time is reached, and it will always activate for the maximum time possible, so if you don't want to be away for the maximum time possible, you need to manually set it up yourself.
