1) Duck talk about you and why you play in tribals.it?
This is actually a very good question, I doubt many people know why I mainly play in the italian server.
Back when i started playing, around 2017/18 i was just going from server to server, spanish, italian, brazilian, czech, but the truth is that the italian server settings were always the most captivating to us - we'd always be fighting more or less the same people (Leonida-Re-Di-Sparta, Fuokista, Bercea Mondialu, Laresa, KissAndDie, etc) and it created some good rivalries that ultimately kept us excited to play the game.
On the italian server is where my first team played the most - DarK, and we met a lot of new players in this server that ultimately joined us ( @bambuino , @Delculo Is Back ) and are until today very great friends of mine and so i can only thank this server for having me come across them.
The settings were fun - they allowed for a fast paced gameplay and were very welcoming to even more inexperienced players, but the rounds were very very long, nowadays we have 3-4h rounds, back in that time we had 6h-48h rounds permanently and the support did absolutely nothing when i opened topics like this, so it just felt like a complete waste of time.
But nowadays, we have CC who is a way more active community manager and overall does a way better job and cares about the speed rounds, and I've made topics like this, this, this, or now, more recently, this, because i genuinely believe this server now has the staff and the capacity to become some sort of a hub for the international speed community and help strengthen and build one, as nowadays most old players just don't play anymore or don't see a reason to do so - for me this server has that potential as the staff is forward-thinking (by doing things like legalizing the LA in map script or simply by accepting players' suggestions, unfortunately that isn't something I see in all of the servers) and the community seems somewhat united, for example if you go to the forum of my own server you'll quickly see that it is completely dead, no one starts new topics there and if someone does no one answers, so it is basically just the forum moderators sending prints of the history of the worlds, and the portuguese server has like 6 times the players of the italian server, but in the italian server i see the forum always being used. There is a community in this server and I don't feel like that exists anywhere else besides in the international server, honestly.
2) Did you never play a with standard speed?
I have played a few worlds yes, but I never won one. We won the previous classic on the italian server as QuacK (link here) but i honestly wouldn't see myself playing one ever again. It simply takes us too much time of our lives to be playing a slower world, back in like 2015-16 where i basically didn't understand how the game works i used to join random worlds on the portuguese server and just upgrade things randomly for fun, but nowadays i simply can't see myself doing that, if i am to play something I want to do the best I can, and in slow worlds to do that i would have to have an account 24/7 online and that is simply not possible, I'm just way too competitive to get into something and then not do as well as i wished because of something I can't control, I just can't be online 24/7 xD.
For me speeds fix all of those problems - they are faster and require faster thinking/mechanics, so you can get better at it, while in worlds you have all the time in the world to do everything (or so it feels like), they take way less time to be completed (even though they are mostly 3-4 hours long, they are won in way less time than that unfortunately, i talked about that in this topic that I already mentioned before) and so the time used to secure that win feels like a good waste of time, its good fun to get to a round with a few friends and just do our best and take the win or even doing that alone to challenge yourself against people teaming up, its just way more fun, I don't have to wake up thinking about tribalwars like i had to in that classic round or go to sleep worried about me possibly getting attacked during night, its just not something I want to have to worry about.
3) Are you able to cook some italian food?
Interesting question, i mean who can't make some spaghetti, but i must admit, i myself am not that much of an enthusiast of italian food in general, I think the italians have things that are way better than their food xd
4) Why a “Classic” player like me should to play a speed round?
It all comes down with what your "objective" on the game is. Clearly worlds will be the go-to if you want to become a known and recognized player on the game, but if you wish to challenge yourself and fight other players in a way more fast paced style of world then speeds are surely for you, that and other things I already mentioned in the 2nd question, if you are a player who wants to always give their best on what you're playing then you will probably be more inclined towards trying speeds since well, you can more easily spend 2-3 hours on a round than dedicating entire months of your life to the game.
I feel like speeds are also more interesting to meet new people - in worlds you basically just find people from your country and you end up talking to the same players every day, your enemies don't exactly change, and in speeds nothing is exact, in one round you team up with a player, in other round you have that player as an enemy and have a previous enemy as a tribemate, everything can change because of the fast paced gameplay (and the fact that there are basically no backstabbers on speeds as well) definitely are great reasons to get started.
Not just that, but also seeing on what was previously done in tournaments, cool 10v10 speed rounds based on nationalities just like the tournament hosted on the international server in 2020 really make the game more appealing than what at least my perception of a world is.
In the end it all comes down to preference - you like a fast paced gameplay and fast decision making and don't have that much time to spend, you'll enjoy speeds, if you'd like to have more time to think about what to upgrade, what alliances to make, etc, then worlds are probably the better option for you (liking one does not mean disliking the other, of course)
